New dates announced for the Montpelier Basement Supper Club…

…namely Friday 15th and Saturday 16th April. For only a £25 “suggested donation” per head, experience Dan and Elly’s much-lauded supper club on one of these two evenings…just make sure you get in there quick and book!

Booking is simple – just email Dan and Elly on – you’ll also be signed up to their mailing list, so you’ll be kept informed of future dates. The menu for April 15th and 16th hasn’t yet been confirmed, but as the latest email says, “As always, think British, Seasonal, Local.”

For a taste of what you’re likely to expect at an evening at the Montpelier Basement, the menu for the next (fully booked) installment, taking place on March 12th, is below:


Ford Farm Cheddar & Mustard Biscuits (V)

Brown Windsor Soup with Horseradish & Chive Creme Fraiche
Jerusalem Artichoke Soup (V)

Soused Cornish Herring with toasted Bertinet Sourdough
Roast Beetroot, Homewood Ewe’s Curd and Sorrel Salad with Apple Verjus and toasted Bertinet Sourdough(V)

Boiled Leg of Mutton with Caper Sauce & Greens.
Thyme, Onion & Old Demdike Tart with Warm Tarragon Potato Salad & Greens(V)

Cider Somerset Brandy and Radford Mill Apple Juice Ice

Bristol Sherry Syllabub with Stem Ginger Shortbread

Gorwydd Caerphilly and Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout Rarebit (V)
